Ground Education Keeps Growing!
May, 2023— The Ground Ed team is now 26 people strong!  Our dedicated and talented crew shares the work of teaching, lesson development, materials planning, garden maintenance, community outreach, fundraising and more.  With 9,500+ elementary students in our program, this is a record year of nature-based learning!  We've already taught 2,200 classes, built 4 new gardens, made 1,500 jars of berry jam and hatched 250 chicks this school year.
Our New After-School Garden Program is Here!
May, 2023— With support from the Long Beach Unified School District, Ground Education is expanding the nature day!  Now 16 schools are opening their school gardens after-hours for more opportunity to think, explore and connect with nature and friends.  The Ground Education Team will also be hosting summer school garden lessons and enrichment activities to further support year-round learning.  We couldn't be more excited!

 2022 Recap

Support us in facilitating equitable access to nature by bringing garden lessons and green spaces to LBUSD school campuses.
